Field’s Jewelers started as a small family-owned jewelry store in 1953 with Carl and Marie Field. We are Redding’s oldest and most trusted jewelry store. We are proud to say Field’s Jewelers is still 100-percent family owned and operated after three generations. As a full-service jewelry store, Field’s offers the finest colored stones and precious metals in the North State. We offer an exclusive collection of bridal and engagement rings, loose diamonds, fashion rings, watches and other fine jewelry. All in a warm, relaxed setting that makes shopping for jewelry the enjoyable experience it’s meant to be.
Our great-grandfather started as a watch maker in the 1950’s and the tradition of experience based knowledge began. Fine jewelry, colored stones, diamond grading, appraisals, jewelry and watch repairs have been the focus of each generation. We are proud to be third generation of jewelers. We literally grew up at our family’s jewelry store in Downtown Redding. Now a third generation of jewelers, Dan attended Sonoma State University, is a certified gemologist with special studies in diamond grading, colored stones, pearls, and precious metals.

APPRAISALS
Field's Jewelers performs written certfied appraisals appropriate for insurance purposes. Each appraisal comes with a typed detailed description and a picture of the piece of jewelry. We do all of our appraisals in the store so you can be comfortable knowing that it does not leave our premises.
WISH LISTS
We maintain wish lists for any customer who’d like to register special gifts. Whether you want to make sure friends and family know what you’ve been hoping for or you’d just like to keep track of your desires personally, we’re here to help.
CUSTOM DESIGN
Have something unique in mind but can’t find it anywhere? We’re happy to assist you through the process of designing a completely new piece. We’ll work with you to ensure the durability of the design as well as the beauty. Ask a sale associate how to create the jewelry of your dreams!
ENGRAVING
Our in-store engraver will gladly engrave and personalize most jewelry items. This service is performed by machine for extra precision. Hand engraving is also available for an extra fee and is done on the premises as well. Deep cut hand engraving is a specialty art form.
JEWELRY RESTYLING
Has an item in your jewelry box gone out of style or you simply want to try something new? Bring it to us. We’ll work with your specifications to create something fresh and exciting.
PEARL AND BEAD RESTRINGING
Field's Jewelers will custom-string your necklaces or bracelets and will always clean your jewelry before restringing. This can be done in many different styles and we’re glad to work with you to create the perfect style.

JEWELRY CLEANING
Whether it be gold pieces cleaned by our ultra-sonic, or silver pieces cleaned with our silver cleaner, we offer all cleaning completely free of charge. Polishing by our polishing machine is done in our store and may incur a small fee.
ANTIQUE RESTORATION
We specialize in antique restoration from heirloom pieces dating back to the early 1900’s or before, to costume jewelry of an antique nature.
JEWELRY REPAIR
We have 3 jewelers trained in myriad aspects of jewelry repair. We can repair rings, earrings, pendants, chains, pins, and bracelets. Setting stones in their original setting or a new style can be done on the premises. We also repair some costume jewelry.
WATCH REPAIR
Watch battery replacement and repairs are done on the premises. Replacement watch batteries start at $15.00 depending on the watch the battery is going into. We work closely with a watchmaker for any additional work that may need to be done such as crystal replacement and watertesting and sealing.
GIFT WRAPPING
We want your purchases to look as pretty as possible and would be happy to wrap your gift for you with no fee.

Appraisals
We are happy to provide you with a free insurance appraisal on your purchase.
Custom Work
All custom jewelry is nonrefundable and requires a nonrefundable deposit before the work begins. Full payment upon receipt of custom work will denote the client’s complete satisfaction.
Diamond Inspections
We recommend bringing us your diamond jewelry for inspection every 4 months. Our jeweler will inspect the prongs to help prevent any possible damage or loss of your gemstones. This inspection service is free.
Gift Certificates
We offer gift certificates in any denomination.
Financing
We offer financing through Synchrony.
Layaway
We offer a 6 month layaway plan for any item you desire. We do require an initial 20% deposit of the total purchase, not including tax. The payments thereafter may be made monthly at your convenience in accordance to the terms. Payments can also be mailed in. Alterations & adjustments, such as ring sizing, will be made at balance payoff. Most can be done the same day. Expired layaways will receive an in store credit for monies received.
Refunds
Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase. All returns must be “in new condition” and accompanied by your original receipt or a copy of it. We do not accept returns on Estate and Clearance items. Returns are subject to restocking fees if alterations have been performed and/or if the item needs polishing. We offer a merchandise credit on all returns.
Returned Checks
All returned checks will be charged $15 in cash and payment in cash will be required.
